Cultural Enrichment
  • Groups on American Indian history, cultural identity, traditions, heritage, crafts, arts and literature standards and field trips.
  • Lakota Language instruction. Social Studies standard.
  • Cultural in-service for school staff.
Social Service
  • One-to-one, group counseling and advocacy.
  • Referrals to district service, counseling programs and other support programs.
  • Consultation with parents via home, school, and phone contacts.
  • Truancy intervention and SART support.
Academic Services K-12 Johnson O'Malley
  • Academic assistance (tutorial).
  • Consultation with parents and teachers.

Chemical Prevention K-12
  • Preventative chemical awareness groups utilizing "Project Alert" curriculum for grades 6-9
  • Sobriety support groups grades 9-12
  • "Guiding Good Choices" curriculum group for family members of our students.
  • Recognition for American Indian Families within the program.
  • Alternative sober and drug-free lifestyle experience provided through field trips.
  • One on one counseling for students and family members.

Post Secondary Planning Program
  • Assistance in completion of student six year post secondary plans.
  • Advocacy, liaison services and counseling.
  • Inservice for parents and District staff on post secondary and financial aid.
  • Assistance in obtaining financial aid.
  • Coordinate college field trips.
  • Coordinate college representatives to visit high schools.
Saint Paul Childrens Initiative
  • Nagi Kicopi Project offers cultually based wrap around services that emphasize cultural values.
  • Adolesent Parent Program provides intensive case management to American Indian adolescent parents within St. Paul Public Schools.
Early Childhood Family Education
  • Culturally specific parent information and support groups.
  • Activities for children in classrooms that assist in social and emotional development.
  • Family oriented field trips.
  • Family time together in a learning environment.
  • Open to children birth to kindergarten.
  • School-age program 6 to 12 years in age.



Chemical Prevention K - 12
  • Prevention groups on chemical use/awareness, K-12.
  • Sobriety support groups.
  • Inhalant and tobacco prevention awareness, grades K-12.
