 | | Tami and Nicole | Hi, I'm Tami Johnson the high school counselor with the Success for The
Future (SFTF) and the Intervention for College Attendance Program
(ICAP) grants. I'm originally from White Earth, where much of my
family still lives. I received my B.A.
degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth and my M.A. degree and
Education Specialist in School Counseling from the University of
Minnesota Twin
Cities. I've been a licensed school counselor since 1996 and
worked in
Robbinsdale and Minneapolis schools prior to joining the St. Paul
Indian Education Program in 2005.
I'm here to work with students around high school graduation, college
preparedness, college information and financial aid/scholarships.
I'm also available to work with community members who need college
information or are applying to college.
All of our students need to prepare for the possibility
of college; that preparation will open doors they never imagine
existed. With our help and your support, we can improve American
Indian students' graduate rates from high school AND college.
