Part time tutors are still needed for 2007/2008 School Year
Starting pay is $9.00 an hour
8 to 20 hours per week.

Requirements:
- Must be a self starter and reliable.
- Must be available till June 6, 2008.
- Have adequate transportation (car/bus).
- Strong math and/or science knowledge.
- Basic computer skills (excel/word).
- Interpersonal skills with youth in an educational setting.
- It is desirable not required that the applicant have knowledge or experiance working in the American Indian community.
Duties are:
- Meet weekly with assigned students and provide academic assistance in the referred subject area at school.
- Maintain contacts with support, guidance staff and Indian Education Program staff in schools.
- Tutor
student in the areas of Math, Science and English or other areas as
needed under the supervision of the classroom teacher or other licensed
school staff member.
- Monitor progress of program students through teacher and parent contacts.
- Document progress and maintain reports for Program Manager.
Academic Tutor reports to the Academic Monitor and Program Supervior.
College students and community members having experience in tutorial programs are encouraged to apply.
